Following Up On Exercise and Fitness

Hello YMCA members, subscribers, and community! I’m here again to talk a bit about fitness, exercise, and to check in on how your exercise programs are going for the new year.  I talked in my last blog about bringing more structure and meaning to your new year’s resolutions, in order for them to thrive and become a part of your daily life as the year progresses. So, I’m here today to follow up and encourage those of you who are implementing those practices– to continue in them, as it gets easier and more manageable as time goes on.  It’s sort of like starting a new job: it takes some time making daily adjustments to something new, but over time, it becomes rhythmic and more natural over time.  For those of you who may have not implemented those practices I mentioned in the last blog, once again, take time to set down and go through what days and times that are realistic and practical for you, and then make those appointments a priority.  I’ve found that doing it that way really does make a difference because it becomes more of a priority, as opposed to the burden of having an extra thing to do that particular day.

I have visited with several  individuals who have not subscribed to the blog page, and are receiving my exercise and fitness info via Facebook or by shared tagging.  This is great, but I am discovering that some of you who have not subscribe are still unaware of my full webpage and the access to every article and blog I have posted thus far.  For those of you who may have just tuned in or have only read the latest info, I encourage you to go to my home web page and there are several articles there with tons of health, exercise and fitness information for you to read, share with others, and even send me questions regarding those particular topics. I will also add that upon visiting the website, each heading to every article has a place to click on if you want to leave a question or comment without having to go to your inbox for replies. (That would be for those of you who are not subscribers).

At any rate, continue to keep in mind that there are several exercise programs and fitness classes to suite the needs of any individual. So again, put your memberships to good use and utilize all your resources the Y has to offer, and let me know what you guys (and gals) think of what I’ve previously discussed concerning exercise and fitness health, or questions on things that I have not yet discussed on the webpage.  Thanks again for tuning in and I hope this year has gotten off to a great start. God Bless and happy workouts!
